RTI - GEM workshop
An RTI - GEM workshop was held at Sikkim Manipal University on 6th of June, 2009. The program was attended by 50 delegates from Sikkim, Assam and Tripura. The faculties were Dr Sudip Dutta from SMU, Prof JN Sharma from Assam, Dr Debjani Gupta and Dr Subhasis Roy from Kolkata.
Awesome Pulmonology
Awesome Pulmonology was held on 31st May, 2009 at Ramkrishna Mission Seva Pratisthan. It was a full house attended by 150 delegates. The program started from 10 am and lasted till 6 pm. The external faculty consisted of Dr Sushil Kabra, Professor, Dept of Pediatric Pulmology, AIIMS, New Delhi and Dr Mahesh Babu, Pediatric Pulmonologist, Manipal Hospital, Bangalore. The local faculty comprised of Dr Goutam Ghosh, Dr Kali Kinkar Ghosh, Dr Subhasis Roy, Dr Atul Gupta, Dr Partha Sarathy Bhattacharyya, Dr Ashok Kr Modi, Dr Pallab Chatterjee, Dr Debjani Gupta. At the end it left the delegates yearning for more.
ATM workshop
An ATM workshop was held at Kanchi Kamalkoti Child Trust Hospital, Chennai on 17 May 2009 under the supervision of Dr Balasubramanium. The program was overbooked and left delegates yearning for more.
World Asthma Day
World Asthma Day was celebrated at Chacha Nehru Bal Chikitsalaya, New Delhi on 2 May, 2009. The programme was organised by IAP, Respiratory Chapter, Delhi Sate and IAP East Delhi Branch. Dr Mandeep Walia was the Organising Secretary and Dr Tapisha Co-organising Secretary. The scientific deliberations were by Dr Jasmeet Kaur, Dr Tilak Dangwal and Dr Mandeep Walia. This was followed by a panel discussion on Issues in Asthma Management by. Drs Kishan Chugh, GR Sethi, SK Kabra, Varinder Singh, AK Sharma and LN Taneja. The auditorium remained packed till the very end.
Advanced Pediatric Flexible Bronchoscopy Course
The 2nd Advanced Pediatric Flexible Bronchoscopy Course was held in Manipal Hospital Bangalore on the the 25th and 26th of April, 2009. It was attended by 20 delegates and was a resounding success.
RTI-GEM workshops
RTI-GEM workshops were held at Ramkrishna Mission Hospital, Kolkata on 13 March, 2009 and at Tumkur on 15 March, 2009. Both the events were a resounding success.
The CME of Lakeside Hospital, Bangalore
The CME of Lakeside Hospital, Bangalore, was held on 8 March, 2009. There were scientific deliberations to packed halls by Dr Vedanth from USA and Dr Paramesh, Dr Jagadiish Chinappa, Dr Mahesh Babu and Dr Srinath from Bangalore.
